Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• • Account data — name, email, password hash, workspace name, and role.
• • Connected accounts — OAuth tokens and account identifiers for ad platforms you authorize Vela to read from.
• • Performance data — campaign, spend, and outcome metrics pulled from your connected platforms to power analyses inside Vela.
• • Usage data — pages visited, features used, device, browser, and approximate location, collected via privacy-respecting analytics.
• • Support data — messages, attachments, and metadata you send when you contact us.

How we use it

• • Provide, secure, and improve the Vela product.
• • Generate the analyses, reports, and recommendations you request.
• • Communicate product updates, billing, and security notices.
• • Detect abuse and meet legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your performance data to train models for other customers.

Sharing and subprocessors

We share data only with vetted subprocessors that help us run Vela — cloud hosting, database, email, analytics, and customer-support providers — under contracts that require appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After account closure or a verified deletion request, data is removed within 30 days; backups are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle. Limited records may be retained longer when required by law (for example, invoices).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted, logged, and reviewed. OAuth tokens for connected ad accounts are stored encrypted and used only to fulfill the requests you make in Vela.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights at any time by emailing privacy@govela.io. To request deletion specifically, see our Data deletion page.

International transfers

Vela operates globally. When we transfer personal data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice before they take effect.
